The Australian Smart Cities Awards were the nation’s first dedicated smart cities award scheme established to recognise and reward leadership, celebrate best practice and stimulate action to advance the smart cities movement.

In 2020 new award categories have been added for private sector leadership, climate action and cross government collaboration. This brings the total number of categories to twelve.

Applications for the 2020 awards will open 23 March 2020, with the awards reception hosted in Melbourne on Thursday 12th November.
